Is the system HANA-compatible?+
Yes. Store2Test, including all add-ons, is also an unbeatable tool for your test activities on HANA S/4 systems.
We work with Scrum / agile methods. How does Store2Test support us?+
Store2Test is extremely well suited to agile methods. It enables timely testing based on production data — the search for suitable test data is no longer needed. A test with Store2Test can also be used as a "Definition of Done" criterion.

Data Copy
Can data be reloaded into the target system?+
Yes. Once defined, test data can be reloaded into the target system at any time — this simplifies developer tests as well as system or integration tests.
Can production data be loaded into multiple target systems?+
Yes. Store2Test allows you to set up multiple target systems. Production data can thus be created in quality systems as well as in test systems.
Can you trace which source systems the data was loaded from?+
Yes. The test case overview shows which source system and client the test data was extracted from.
Is it guaranteed that test cases used in test automation are not overwritten by a data load?+
Yes. Test data is uniquely assigned to a test case. Another test case with the same data is not allowed — the existing test case can, however, be deleted if it is no longer needed.
How can particularly sensitive data (e.g. VIP/employee data) be handled?+
Store2Test offers the option of blocking partners or contract accounts from extraction — particularly sensitive data can thus be excluded from tests.
Which data is anonymized? Is the EU GDPR taken into account?+
On request, personal data and bank details can be anonymized so that no conclusions can be drawn about production information. The bank key itself remains unchanged.
How are customer-specific tables taken into account?+
Customer-specific tables can be set up in Store2Test's basic customizing. We're happy to support you with this.
Can production data also be loaded into the production system?+
No. Store2Test prohibits loading production data into a production system.
Test Automation
How can the Data Copy and Test Automation functions be used together?+
Data Copy can be used to create the test scenarios in the regression system. Test data assignment is exclusive, so regression tests cannot be accidentally overwritten.
Can the test run be scheduled in the background?+
Yes. All comparison runs can be scheduled in the background.
Is the user notified when background processing is complete?+
If email sending is set up in the system, the user receives an email with a results summary once the job has finished.
Can the test data be used multiple times?+
Yes. In test automation too, data can be reused multiple times — the tedious search for suitable test data is no longer needed.
Can the test data also be used if a release includes a new field or a new activity?+
Yes. If the comparison with the old reference result shows only the difference of the new field or activity, the test result can be saved as a new reference result. All further tests are then compared against this new reference result — a new search for test data is no longer needed.
Can I group several test cases together?+
Yes. Store2Test lets you combine several test cases into a test case group. The group can be moved, reset, and compared together.
