How does the data copy work?
The "Data Copy" function of Store2Test lets you select data in the source system (e.g. the production system) and transfer it to the desired target system.
Repeatable
Repeatedly loading the test data into the target system recreates the same starting position.
Data protection
For data protection reasons, personal data is anonymized during transfer.
Standard BAPIs
Master data is taken over via standard SAP BAPI modules — no direct database extract takes place.
Number ranges
New identifiers (e.g. document numbers) are assigned when created in the target system, to ensure number range consistency.
Logical extraction
A logical, partial extraction from mass activities is ensured — several payment batches are merged into one in the target system.
Extraction as of a date
A data snapshot as of a specific date can be exported — e.g. before a mass run or a manual adjustment.
